Meet us for a celebration of the night sky! We'll meet on the East side of the Pedestrian Bridge in downtown Providence for a short walk around the river loop by the light of September's full "Harvest" Moon.

We'll be accompanied for questions and general astronomy knowledge by our 'Astronomy Ambassador,' Jason Major (Twitter: https://twitter.com/jpmajor).

Notes:

This is a family-friendly event open to children and adults of all ages.

There will be no bathrooms available for this event.

We will walk approximately 1.5 miles. Some terrain will be uneven, including: walking across cobblestone walkways and short flights of stairs.

In case of rain or cloudy weather, the event will be canceled. We will notify participants no later than the morning of the event if we need to cancel. Cancellation messages will be sent out via Eventbrite and posted to our social media pages (instagram and facebook: @downtownpvdparks)
